This Cookie Policy explains how LandGrantIQ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies — including browser local storage and session storage — on the LandGrantIQ website at landgrantiq.com (the “Site”) and in the LandGrantIQ application (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage and session storage are related browser technologies that store small amounts of data on your device; session storage is cleared when the browser tab closes, while local storage persists until cleared. We use these technologies only for the purposes described in this Policy.
2. Categories We Use
- Strictly necessary. Required to operate the Service — principally session authentication and security. The Service cannot function without them, and they do not require consent under most cookie laws.
- Functional. Remember your preferences, such as theme, language, layout, and saved views, so the Site and the Service work the way you left them.
We do not use advertising, targeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not permit third parties to place cookies through the Site or the Service for their own purposes. If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent first.

The Site also records aggregate first-party measurement events on our own servers — the page path, the label of the link or button used, and the referring site. These events set no cookie, create no visitor identifier, and store nothing on your device.
4. Your Choices
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies and clear site data through their settings, and you can clear local and session storage the same way. Because the cookies and storage we use are strictly necessary or functional, blocking or clearing them will sign you out of the Service and may prevent it from working properly; on the Site, clearing them only resets your theme preference. We do not use cookies for tracking, so there is no advertising opt-out to configure.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track users across third-party websites or use cookies for advertising, neither the Site nor the Service responds differently to “Do Not Track” signals. We honor applicable legal requirements regarding opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control; as we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no additional opt-out is necessary.

We may update this Policy as the Site and the Service evolve — for example, if we add or change cookies. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be notified through the Service or by other reasonable means.
